This piece is inspired by my favorite Joan Miró painting Inverted. Perlavita 24kt gold foil Miró beads are surrounded by hand faceted citrine, sapphire and garnet gem beads and 18kt gold accent beads. The clasp is 14kt gold with sapphire and diamond accents. Length: 22 inches.
Joan Miró i Ferrà was a Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramist from Spain. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism but with a personal style. Miró expressed contempt for conventional painting methods as a way of supporting bourgeois society, and declared an "assassination of painting" in favour of upsetting the visual elements of established painting.
